Trustee sales from published notices, read every day

NoticeRegistry vs TrusteeSaleData

NoticeRegistry indexes many kinds of public notice in 31 states, with a free account and $10 for one notice. If you need a single property, that is the better deal. TrusteeSaleData holds trustee's sales only, in 21 states, and includes CSV export from $49 a month, where NoticeRegistry's bulk CSV is on its $399 plan.

We run TrusteeSaleData, so we are one side of this comparison. We have not subscribed to NoticeRegistry: what we say here comes from public pages, cited below with the words we relied on. If something has changed, tell us and we will correct it.

Which to choose

Choose NoticeRegistry if

  • You need one notice: $10, one time, with no subscription and a free account to look around in first.
  • You want tax sale and other public notices beside foreclosures.
  • You work judicial states such as New York, New Jersey, Ohio or Pennsylvania, which we do not publish.
  • You want owner mailing addresses for direct mail, or a low-cost plan with an API, from $19 a month.

Choose TrusteeSaleData if

  • You work trustee's sales, and want CSV export at $49 a month.
  • You need volume at a small-team price: Business is $99 a month for 10,000 records, by CSV or API.
  • You want sales that were never printed as a notice, from the trustee's sale records, beside those that were.
  • You want each sale as one record, with its later notices and its status, plus the property's estimated value.

A wide index and a narrow record

NoticeRegistry's scope is public notices of many kinds, and it says plainly that coverage and summaries can be incomplete[10]. So do we: how this data is collected sets out what ours misses. Our scope is narrower: a sale is on the site only if it is a trustee's sale, and each sale is one record however many times its notice was printed.

Some of our sales come from trustee's sale records with no printed notice at all, which a notice index would not hold. In the other direction, a judicial sale or a tax sale will never appear here.

When you need the list as a file

This is the sharpest price difference between the two. Our Pro plan exports 3,000 records a month for $49. NoticeRegistry's table lists bulk CSV export only on Business, at $399[7], though every one of its plans includes the API and a live CSV feed of a saved search counted against that API allowance.
